The standard accounts for colleges on SwiftAssess are accounts where examinees can add and drop courses each semester. In this type of account, you can have categories and groups.

Category. In a college account, every category can be linked to a course. The courses therefore have their own separate division. For example, a course with the course code "EEE338" will be under the category "EEE338"

Group. For each category there can be more than one group representing different sections in a specific Semester/Year. Each group contains details like:

oThe Group Code or a section number.

oThe Start Date for the course.

oThe End Date for the course.

oYou can also add more custom details for the groups based on your preference for the division of the course (e.g, Campus, Year, Division etc.). An example of a naming scheme for a group can be: Section/Semester#/Year/Gender (e.g. Elec1/Sem1/2014/M). This will make it easier to retrieve the grades and scores based on the naming scheme that is used.

A practical example of a division for a college account may be :

Program: Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Course: EEE338: Electromagnetic Fields and Waves

Category: EEE338

Groups:

Group: Elec1/Sem1/2014/M

Group: Elec2/Sem1/2014/M

Group: Elec2/Sem1/2014/F

The graphic below is a representation of the work-flow in a college account.
