A widget is a zip/wdgt file that is downloaded into iBooks (available on iOS) or EPUBs (available on several platforms). An author of a book can use SwiftAssess widgets to include assessments for purposes of Section Review or End of Chapter Review. In this section, you will see an example of using iBook to include a SwiftAssess widget.

Include Assessments in iBook

First, you have to download the widgets through the Assessments Dashboard.

When you download the wdgt file from SwiftAssess, it will look like this:

To be able to include the widget in your book, you have to be able to use iBooks Author. For more information about including HTML widgets in iBooks, visit the following link: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12105 (external link).

SwiftAssess Widgets are published against practice tests, not exams, since practice tests are meant as Chapter/Lesson Review exercises and contain only auto graded questions.

Include EPUBs in Assessments

EPBUs can be included in assessments. With EPUBs the text can be reflowable and there is support for audio/video content.
